I wrote to one of Jim's closest today, " 'tis true-- this liminal space of caring and waiting taxes the heart, soul and body... but not beyond bearing." Something echoes a bit false... perhaps because sometimes it is beyond bearing. & then another close friend wakes up in his bed this morning, and steps outside to the sunrise for the first time in a month. These quick breaths of hope strengthen the bones.
